2 September 11: Almost that time again . . .

by hillarybiscay

It is hard to believe that it is almost that time again: time for the Hawaii Ironman! Probably because by this time of year I am already on ironman #7 or 8 (and next week’s will be #4), it seems odd that it is almost time to go to Kona. I am so excited to head back to the island and play support staff for the GCM –and to spend some quality time at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows!

BFF Belinda Granger and I will be camped out there for a couple weeks, and we have an epic training camp in the works for our time there. I cannot wait for a reunion with one of my very fave training partners!

We also have some fun events at the Mauna Lani planned, and I hope some of you will join us for them! Here’s what the lovely folks at the Mauna Lani have on the calendar thus far:

Saturday, September 24: Stand-Up Paddles Race for Fitness

Here you can go head-to-head with Belinda in a 7-mile stand-up paddle race. I will still be in Washington, D.C. doing the 3-day Susan G. Komen breast cancer walk (more on that soon), but Belinda has committed to racing this event, which I can promise will be beautiful—since it finishes on the shores of Mauna Lani Bay. Naturally, there will be a party at the end! Go to this website for more info and to enter!

Friday, September 30 (5PM): K-Swiss Pau Hana Sunset 10K Fun Run and Walk

I will be in town for this one! If you want to preview the tough part of the Honu 70.3 run course, now is your chance! Plus, what could be better than a sunset run at the Mauna Lani?!?

This event also ends in a party, which will be attended by the Team Mauna Lani pros, and proceeds from your $20 entry fee benefit the American Cancer Society.

Check out details and entry info here.

Date TBD: Vegan Dinner Night with me at the CanoeHouse

Details forthcoming! Can’t wait to do it again!
