Now that I am (at least temporarily) done talking about my wedding, let’s get back to reader Q&A!
The famous Dan Beaver writes,
Q: Two-part question:
1- Will either you or Maik be hyphenating after the big day???
2- Very interested in hearing your race plans for 2012; are we looking at the old Hillary of say maybe 8 IM’s or maybe more??? Your fans need to know so we can sign up so as to get to see you in person!!!
A:
1: No name-changing or hyphenating for now, Dan. There may be some sort of name-combining happening when kids get involved down the line, but no changes for now.
2: I am very excited to report that I finally have some “definites” on my race calendar for 2012. Yes, Dan, there will be a good number of ironmans happening this year—at least six, I would say . . . If all goes well, 8 might not be out of the question. For now, I can say that these are the races around which I will plan the rest of my season:
May 6: Ironman Australia
May 27: Ironman Brasil
June 2: Honu 70.3
September 9: IRONMAN WISCONSIN!!!

Wisconsin!! So exciting as I am hoping to be there again this year. 2010 I missed the bike cut off by 20 mins after having a chain issue and then getting down mentally. It was my first attempt at an ironman. Can’t wait to see you go flying by!!I will be cheering for you! I love the bike course, so beautiful.
Yea!!! Your coming back to Wisconsin! We missed you last year!
So Cool! I suppose I’ll have to sign up for IM Brasil one year If I’m to race the same course as you
Boa sorte amiga!
Wisconsin! I’ve been waiting for you to come back! You were so gracious to take a picture with me when I volunteered in 2009! You inspired me to complete it in 2010 and 2011 and I will be there in 2012!!
OMG! I am SOOO excited that you are competing at IM Australia. Can’t wait to see you there & hope to actually meet you in person. Although no doubt I will be watching you whilst I am still on the bike leg, and you are almost done on the run! Congrats to you and Maik – have loved the wedding pics and stories
Dang it. So jealous I’m not going back to Madtown this year.
Maybe you can come and finally conquer IMAZ in 2012!
