Tuesdays and Wednesdays of late bring a special combo of visits to the vomit zone—back-to-back visits, that is. On Tuesday afternoons I enter the zone on the track. Yesterday I finally started to even the score between me and this particular track session . . . I am happy to report that after yesterday, the score is officially Track: 2 HPB: 1. It was not pretty, but it was progress: I’ll take it!
I then spent the whole evening like this, with my puppy pillow, locked down to the couch by Ms. Eva and my Recovery Pump boots.
The boots must have done some good work because I fully expected my quads to feel like they were in a vise-grip when I tried to climb up the hills this morning on my bike, but they didn’t. However, I did confirm my theory about the correlation between run session quality and pain during cycling intervals the next morning: the better the track session, the more the cycling intervals hurt. Yep, that is my reward for a track session well done. After today, this I know for certain.
2x visits to the vomit zone in half a day means I earned some of the GCM’s famous vegan banana protein waffles—prepared while still in the chamois post-ride. Love it.

can we get the recipe for the wonderful waffles? pleaaaase?
yessss! coming soon!!
isn’t it great to have someone cook for you when you’re shattered from a trainning session? Hubbies are great for that;-)
And pets always choose their moments to mug us for cuddles too. We love them
Thumbs up to spreading the love with that recipe- I have a feeling that recipe might be a huge hit for cycling in South Carolina!
I’d also like a neck pillow like yours- too cute.
Gotta love the puke fests! I had one of those today. Not sure if I’ve ever had 2 in 12 hours though!
