My Valentine’s celebrations kicked off with a gift from Coach, rather than the Cat. See I had to earn this gift from the Cat . . .
with a mini-smashfest on the track, during which I tipped the score in my favor. In the Me vs. Tuesday Track Sess contest, the score is now officially HB:3, Track:2. I fought hard for that one yesterday!
So needless to say, I consumed a ginormous V-Day dinner without guilt—especially because the Cat took me to a gluten-free Italian restaurant. My create-your-own pizza above even had dairy-free cheese on it. So good.
Warm gluten-free chocolate-chip skillet cookie with vanilla coconut milk ice cream OMG!
My hot date.
We came home to numerous puppy-themed cards from some secret admirers . . . plus my traditional festive Hanky Panky from one (also known as Mom). THANKS MOM! Love it!
This might have been the highlight: inspirational DVD alert! I just got this ultra-running-dork documentary, Unbreakable, about the Western States 100 (on my post-triathlon bucket list for sure), so we watched that after dinner. It was awesome—so much amazing footage of the beautiful race course and of these ultra-running speedsters crushing it on the trails. This movie got me so fired up and I will be watching it again within the next few days–can’t get enough!

Damn, I need to watch mine. It’s been sitting on my stack of books, untouched, for weeks now.
dooooooder i was totally thinking of YOU! you will love it! must watch STAT!
Worth the effort on the track just to finish it off with this great dinner. I do a “make your own pizza” dinner for friends which is a great way to cater for people with different tastes/diets and usually lots of fun. I know yours was at a restaurant.
I love the fancy pants and cards of little Eva in costume (it’s her isn’t it?).
I wonder if I can get that dvd over here. I’ve read a couple of books on ultras recently (all your fault of course for mentioning these events!) and I find them and the people doing them fascinating. It appeals to my sense of adventure and rebellious nature.
Happy to see you are winning
I call it double winning with that pizza/cookie madness.

Happy (belated) Valentines Day to you and your man

i WISH! the other part of the story is that i was so glad we went as there was a sign up saying, we are closing for business on feb 19th!! so sad! not enough gluten-free business in tucson, apparently. there are a few in the PHX area though. check it out: http://www.picazzos.com
