Amidst a lot of training miles here in SoCal this weekend, the GCM and I had another wedding weekend: three days of wedding activities for one of my favorite people in the whole world . . .
This girl! That’s one of my BFFs from childhood, Kerry, and her lovely other half, Eric. Kerry, her younger sis, Colleen, and I grew up swimming in the breaststroke lane together on our local YMCA swim team. They also lived down the street, so we would walk to each other’s houses to play. Well, actually, we usually came to mine since we had a pool and my idea of “fun” in our spare time was doing no-breather laps of our pool and “physical challenges” on my dad’s weight machine.
Yeah, that’s what these girls put up with . . . true friends!

Love these girls! Kerry’s a year older than me and Colleen’s a year younger, so I’ve always been the “middle sister.”
Or the middle daughter . . . That’s us at my wedding with my mom and theirs, or my “adopted mom,” Leesee. Love her.
Another highlight from Kerry’s special day: the groom’s cake.

I love these pics!!!
I forgot all about the “physical challenge” but I love that there was a time in my life when I considered that a great way to spend the day.
So enjoyed seeing you two days in a row. hope to move west and make this a more common occurrence.
Thanks so much for being there.
XO
yay! my favorite blog post ever
clearly, i am biased.
so great to see you and maik! keep us posted on everything. was such a treat to see the whole family! xx
Oh you and Kerry would have been my fave kids at the pool…I make the kids do underwater no breather laps all the time during free swim. Underwater kids = silence.
Then I provide a 10lb brick and we see who can tread the longest while holding it. Tired kids= happy lifeguards!
Every one is getting married, it does make me feel old as I’ve been married for ages…
Love all the sunny pictures….SUN? can’t remember the last time I’ve seen it:-(
