We had an epic training weekend here in LA! Friday through Sunday included some adventures that made me feel like I was in the midst of a birthday-smashfest-extravaganza, and it wasn’t even my birthday! How cool is that?!
That was my kind of weekend.
After Friday’s brick smashfest with the squad, I kicked off more-than-a-marathon Saturday with a run that circumnavigated the Palos Verdes Peninsula (a.k.a. home).
Even better, Mini Biscuit joined me for the first hour. Below is where the GCM and I got married—the view people were supposed to see, but didn’t since it was a fog-fest!
Saturday we had no shortage of good views, however, and after kicking off the run-fest with Mini, I got to finish it on treadmill with my swim buddy (after a swim, of course) later that day.
Then we loosened up with a birthday swim yesterday! Although the 100x100s is my favorite swim set, there are days when it can be rough going from the start and thus a slog-fest; however, yesterday ended up being one of those extra-fun days when, in spite of the days that preceded it, I felt like I could go 50 more at the end. So that was a treat. Loved it.

I don’t know if I could ever bear 100x100s….I am tired thinking of it!
