This is our home for the next couple weeks . . . home at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows!
If you’ve been reading here for awhile, you will know that this resort is truly our home away from home, and that we have spent a ton of time here in the past couple years.
Well this time it got even better . . .
Yes, we now have our very own proper coffee shop, Mountain Thunder, in the hotel. OMG.
Needless to say, the Cat was in heaven. His view from the sofa:
Our first day here involved a lot of this with catch-up time with BFFs Team Granger, plus a wake-up jog, swim workout in the pool here, and a cruisey little ride. Then we capped it off with dinner on the beach at the CanoeHouse with the Grangers and Luke & Lucy Bell, who are also staying here. Remember we are having a Ladies’ Night Vegan Dinn at the CanoeHouse next Wednesday if you’d like to join me for a sunset dinner on the beach at my second home!
Now it is time for some Ultraman flashbacks on a ride in the Kohalas. Post-break this could get ugly so wish me luck!

I sat right where you were two weeks ago. The family and I liked walking from the house we were in over to that little coffee shop. The kids loved the baby turtles in the lobby and the sharks in the pond across the lawn. (far left in the 4th photo). 85F and sunny every day didn’t hurt either.
a private lava java…now all they need is a basik and you are set! Kohalas =
Okay, lucky duck. I’m drooling, but you so deserve it since you’re about to endure some crazy, hardcore exercise!!! Thx for my little shout out on SR. Aren’t we all lucky to know each other….small world xoxo

Gorgeous place. I’m jealous too specially as it is chucking it down where I am. And with fantastic coffee! Does life get better than that?
