Yes I know you might get sick of this theme, but it is true . . . So I have star sightings for you to keep things interesting!
Swim smashfest with Ms. 70.3 World Champ and one of my fave training partners from home, Leanda Cave! Okay that pic isn’t of the smashfest part—that was the catch-up social kick part, but the smashfest did happen….
Then this happened: all-you-can-eat brunch here at Mauna Lani, that is . . . I have to say my $$ are on Leanda for a repeat podium-finish here in Kona this year (she was 3rd last year).
Yesterday was a train-all-day day here on the island, beginning with a treadmill smashfest at Mauna Lani, then a TRX-core class immediately afterwards. What was crazy was that I was closer to vomiting during the core class than during the treadmill run. Lacking strength much?!?!
Then Cat and I rode into town for the first time to eat acai bowls as big as my head. Basik Acai (in the treehouse near Huggo’s on Ali’i) is a must-visit every time we are in town—soooooo good!
We got home just in time to watch the sunset over the ocean as we rolled up.
All but one of my girls are arriving here this weekend so the coaching/sherpa duties begin NOW—beside myself with excitement here!

basik= the best. except I ordered two smalls so I could try all the flavours
I think riding in from the Mauna Lani is way better…living 2miles up the road is dangerous!
I never tire of seeing pics of beautiful locations, keep them coming
