6 July 10: Back at It
Posted on 07. Jul, 2010 by hillarybiscay in Blog | 4 Comments
Apparently I’ve been posting too many pretty-Hawaii-water pictures because my old swim coach, Mr. Woodling, is concerned that I’m going to “become a tourist.” Well above is the alternative. Yes, I took that photo with my crackberry at the end of my third run today. Views from the treadmill are not quite so scenic. So I generally spare you such details.
But just so everyone is clear that I haven’t gone soft on you, I can tell you that I am indeed back at it. Yesterday was a proper six-hour training day, and today was one of my favorite kinds of workday: the triple-run day. I am working with an awesome naturopathic doctor here to figure out why I am not feeling or performing quite right as of late. We will get it sorted out.
In the meantime, I wanted to let you know about a fun side-project I am working on . . . I’ve shared here some articles from one of my favorite websites, MindBodyGreen, and now I will be contributing to the site as well. You can read my first article here, and in fact it even includes an anecdote about my dear Mr. Woodling and my days as a swimmer . . . Enjoy!

Hillary,
I was out in LA this weekend and did a nice running route around Palos Verdes with none other than Ralph Pickett. Good times in your old stomping ground. Even met up with Andy one day when he was up from SD. A mini-NZ reunion!
Keep up all the good work. We enjoy reading about all your adventures.
Matt
amazing article on mindbodygreen. very inspiring! goals are so important.
Nice article. I must admit that you have reached successes that are far greater than I first imagined. However, time has made me a BELIEVER! On the other hand I fell in love with you for none of these great successes, but because you were already everything that one could want as a great friend.
Love you, J.W.
Triple run? Well, so much for all that cross-training, mixing the disciplines advice I’ve been given.
