21 July 10: Lake Placid!

We made it! This is quite a change of scenery from Kona, but the Champ is already feeling quite comfortable in his old stomping grounds.
I made him pull over to the side of the road during our drive up the mountain on our way into town yesterday because I saw this trail. Plus it was 4PM and I hadn’t exercised yet. “Time to run now!!”
We were glad we did. Then we had one more stop before the hotel: we had to hit the swim course! I love training in the lake here.
I must admit that today was not so pleasant. It was pouring rain, thundering, and lightning on and off all day. So today became another runday-funday for me and hopefully I will get to do my first loop of the bike course tomorrow morning!

Hillary’s Time in Madison, WI
ah! grey clouds and lush vegetation! that looks more like the UK. Have a great race you two. I’ll be racing the ITU world cup race in london in Hyde park (same dark clouds here! urgh!) on sunday.
